API reference / Common / Engine types / TextBody

Interface: TextBody

The rich-text body a shape or table cell holds (a:txBody, CT_TextBody): body-level properties and the [TextStory] of paragraphs.

This is the named slot the rest of the crate references (e.g. Shape::text_body). The story is the offset root the editing API addresses; properties carries the body frame concerns (anchor, insets, wrap, autofit) the compose honors, and list_style the per-level defaults its paragraphs resolve against.

Properties

PropertyDescription
properties
TextBodyProperties
a:bodyPr — body-level layout properties.
listStyle?
TextListStyle
a:lstStyle — the body's own per-level paragraph defaults, the innermost link of the inheritance chain before a paragraph's own a:pPr. Usually empty on a slide shape (the populated ones live on the layout and master placeholders it inherits from), so None when the file's is absent or empty — never an empty one.
story
TextStory
The story of blocks (paragraphs, and later tables) — the offset root.
