API reference / Common / Engine types / ShapeOleObject

Interface: ShapeOleObject

An OLE object in a graphic frame (p:oleObj, CT_OleObject) — an Excel chart or worksheet, a Visio drawing, embedded in the package or linked to a file outside it.

The presentation is what paints: an OLE server is not something we run, and the picture the file carries is what PowerPoint itself shows until the object is activated. The rest is the binding to the object, which only its server reads.

Properties

PropertyDescription
presentation
ShapePicture
p:pic — the picture of the object, standing in the frame's box.
programId?
string
@progId — the server that owns the data (Excel.Chart.8, Excel.Sheet.8, …).
data?
string
@r:id — the payload part the relationship names, held by its id: the importer resolves the file's rId4 and stores what it found. None for a linked object, whose data is outside the package.
name?
string
@name — the object's name.
showAsIcon?
boolean
@showAsIcon — the presentation shows the server's icon rather than the object.
imageSize?
ShapeExtents
@imgW / @imgH — the size of the object's image as its server reported it, before the frame scales it. In points (the file states EMU).
binding
ShapeOleBinding
p:embed / p:link — whether the object's data is in the package or outside it.
